Firefighters in Alderney have put out a large fire at the island's tip.
It broke out on Sunday afternoon (27 August) at the Impot.
Volunteers crews arrived to find hay on the southern cliff face alight.

They used an excavator to remove large tree stumps from the burning hay and spent three hours at the scene damping down.
With the light fading, they left the area still smouldering, and returned to the station at 9pm.
" The most likely cause of the fire was spontaneous combustion assisted by recent weather conditions." - Alderney Fire Brigade.
