The States' latest census report shows Guernsey’s total population has reached 64,421.
645 more people were living in the Bailiwick, in the year ending 30th June 2023 than at the same time in 2022.
That is an increase of 1% on the previous year.
Between June 2022 and 2023, 789 people moved to the island, and there was a natural decrease (number of deaths over births) of 144 people.

Looking at employment, during the week ending 30th March 2024 exactly 1% of those eligible to work are unemployed. This is 311 people.
And the median wage over the year ending 31st December 2023 was £41,564.
