Business leaders encouraged to share their views ahead of next year’s General Election.
The Guernsey branch of the Institute of Directors has launched a survey to get feedback on the island’s most pertinent business issues ahead of the States election in June 2020. The IoD wants to make sure that businesses’ needs are discussed as candidates prepare manifestos, the electorate considers their options and the next States start the new term.
The survey consists of four-questions and takes only a few minutes to complete. The responses will be collated and will inform the IoD on issues that matter to members.
John Clacy, IoD Chair, said: “This is an important opportunity for business leaders to have their voice heard by our politicians. The IoD hopes to make it very easy for anyone standing for election to understand which issues are at the top of the business community’s agenda.”
“We urge everyone to take part in the survey, both IoD members and other business leaders; we hope that candidates will also engage with the survey results which will be released next year.”
