Four Named In Queen's Honours List

Four islanders have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

One of the island's top judges, Royal Court Commissioner Julian Clyde-Smith has been made an OBE for his services both to the legal profession and to charity.

Former opera singer turned singing teacher and choral director of the Musical Originals choir Imogen Nicholls becomes an MBE for services to music.

The same honour has been bestowed on Joan Richard, the chair of Jersey Cancer Relief for her contribution to the island's community.

Dick Richomme gets a British Empire Medal for his volunteer work with Jersey Overseas Aid.

The Lieutenant Governor Sir Stephen Dalton announced the awards at the traditional annual reception to mark the Queen's official birthday at Government House.
