Guernsey is going to have direct flights to Heathrow for the first time in 20 years.
Flybe has announced daily services to London's largest airport from the end of March.
The route will be operated by a 78 seat Bombardier Q400, departing Guernsey at 2.40pm and returning from the capital at 5.20pm.
The airline says it will give islanders in Guernsey better access to international flights, and encourage more visitors to the island from further afield.
Guernsey introduced an Open Skies policy in September. Six new air routes have launched since.
"We are delighted to welcome a Guernsey service back at Heathrow after a 20 year absence. Flybe's new service will be a huge opportunity to encourage more international tourists to visit this beautiful and unique island, whilst linking Guernsey residents directly to the world." - John Holland-Kaye, Heathrow Chief Executive.
Meanwhile, Blue Islands will be operating flights between Jersey and Cornwall this summer.

There will be three services a week from 3rd June until the end of August.
Flights will start on Guernsey, with a short stop in Jersey before continuing on to Cornwall Airport Newquay on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
"Cornwall and the Channel Islands are both stunning regions with many similarities, the addition of direct flights means residents can now appreciate discovering the respective unique cultures and subtle nuances that exist beyond the stunning coastlines, quaint harbours, picturesque countryside as well as the buzzing beaches and surf scenes." - Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands.
