Fourteen people had to be evacuated from homes on Queen's Road after a fire broke out in a kitchen of a basement flat.
Fire crews were called just after 10pm on Sunday (12 December)
Nine firefighters were on the scene within minutes, and no one was injured.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the flat and quickly took control of the blaze using a high pressure hose reel.

Jersey Fire and Rescue Service has commended the owner and neighbours for getting out quickly and calling 999.
It has also stressed the importance of having a working smoke detector.
