32 crews from Jersey and Guernsey Rowing Clubs are lining up to take part in the Sark 2 Jersey Rowing Race - plus one single sculler from the Netherlands.
The 'Sark 2 Jersey' rowing race has been running since 1967.
This year, 32 rowing crews from Jersey and Guernsey Rowing Clubs are taking part, as well as one single sculler from the Netherlands.
Rowers are taking on 27 kilometres across the open sea from Dixcart Bay in Sark round the Paternosters reef and along the north coast of Jersey.
They set off at around 3:20 pm (half an hour after low tide) and the fastest boats home should finish within two hours.
The finish line is at Jersey's Bonne Nuit Bay, where a ceremony will be held on the beach and racers will have the opportunity to meet each other.

Medals will be given out by Jersey’s Minister for Sport, Connetable Andy Jehan.
Ben Vaudin of Guernsey Rowing Club says it will bring the islands together:
“This is a true sporting inter-insular - we actually race from one Bailiwick to the other - and it’s a physical and navigational challenge like no other.
"Our sport is increasing in popularity, especially in the run-up to the next Olympics when beach sprint rowing will be included for the first time.’
