A severe weather alert has been issued for Jersey, with winds reaching gale force 8 on Monday morning.
The worst of the conditions are expected to hit between 7am and 11am.
The government and emergency services have issued travel advice.
"We are expecting further heavy rain and showers along with north to northeast strong force 7 winds from around 3am on Monday morning, increasing to gale force 8 with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.
Given these conditions, we are anticipating potential tree damage which may lead to disruption and difficult driving conditions during tomorrow morning and evening travel periods."
Motorists are advised to take extra care on the roads and to allow more time for their journey.
An orange level wind alert is in place for the Channel Islands area. Most ferry sailings are cancelled, although Clipper crossings are expected to operate.
