10 firefighters were called out to a house in St Brelade last night after a fire broke out in its utility room.
999 was called just before 5pm on Monday, with crews dispatched from the nearby Western Fire Station and the Fire and Rescue headquarters in St Helier.
By the time they arrived, the fire had spread to the adjoining garage and kitchen.
Jersey Fire and Rescue says crews quickly brought the blaze under control, made sure the property was safe and the fire hadn't spread.
No one was injured.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, but it's believed to have been started by a faulty immersion heater.
