A local mum, described as 'an inspirational, strong and beautiful woman' has died after a battle with cancer.
36 year old Laura Cafferty, who moved to Jersey in 2012, was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in 2017, which is a rare form of soft tissue cancer.
She received intensive chemotherapy treatment in Southampton, but that didn't work and she was given just two years to live.
Nearly €90,000 was raised as part of a major fundraising campaign to find specialist treatment, but the mum of one passed away at home this morning.
Tributes have flooded in for Laura, who's been described as an angel in heaven, a fighter, a beautiful spirit and an inspirational, strong and beautiful woman.
